I want to study and work in Australia with my partner

Hello,
my name is Simona and I am representative here in Greece for student agency- Alfa agency.I want to help you to make your dream to go to Australia to come truth. I went to Australia with Alfa agency. I was studying and working in Sydney for 2 years. I had very good time! How did it happened? I was working in Ireland in Dublin as waitress!I was working hard to save money! I am outdoor and sporty person and I love sun! Dublin wasnt place for me! I wanted to be fitness instructor!Australia has got great sport schools! I love travelling! I always wanted to go to Australia. I put everything together! I was studying Academy Sport and Fitness in Sydney. When you are student, you will get working permit. So I could make money for living and traveling over there. My boyfriend got working permit (dependent visa) as well. When you study in Australia you can take your partner or family member with you! It was easier for two save money for travelling plans! It is easier not to go alone! You might find here someone in this blog who is planning to go to Australia! You can make friends here before you go or take your love ones with you!

Dependent Visa

Who can apply for Dependent visa?
Generally, you can apply for dependent visa:
  • if you are partner / member of family unit of a holder of some type of temporary visa in Australia (for example, student visa),
  • if your partner is an Australian resident (permanent residency).
Who are 'members of family unit' of a student?
Eligible to apply for this visa to join a holder of student visa is:
  • spouse (including de facto spouse) of the student visa holder, or
  • dependent child (unmarried, and younger than 18 years) of the student visa holder.
If you are not married with your partner, but you would like to apply for spouse dependent visa, you have to submit an evidence that you have lived together for a period of at least 12 months prior to lodging visa application.
Married couples can apply after submission of marriage certificate.
What does the visa let me do?
If are granted visa as a partner (spouse) of a student visa holder, you are allowed:
  • to study in Australia up to 3 months,
  • to work during your stay in Australia (up to 20 hours/week).
What are the benefits of having a dependent visa?
If you get a dependent visa, you will get a limited permission to work (20 hours/week), and you do not need to pay for any course / school in Australia. Your partner, a student visa holder, will be allowed to work as well
